Improved 3D imaging of phase shifting digital holographic microscope by compensation for wavefront distortion

This paper is focused on improving the performance of quantitative phase imaging via phase-shifting digital holographic microscope. The development interferometric techniques important for technology and biomedicine, since surface structure samples can be monitored in real-time by non-destructive investigations. novelty optical arrangement that reference beam microscope a liquid crystal variable retarder introduced. Thus, it became possible to actively control polarization state light realizing necessary phase-shifts. In addition, spatial modulator integrated setup produce computer-controlled compensation distortion. An ad hoc hologram processing technique was developed execute numerical correction physical errors. Topographical investigations masks recorded carbazol-based azopolymers provided experimental testing achieved accuracy reconstruction.
